“Tunnel Vision”: Floyd Mayweather Drops Powerful Advice on Why Most People Don’t Make It, But He’s at the Top

Floyd Mayweather knows a thing or two about success, and he’s not shy about sharing what it takes to reach the top. At a public appearance, the undefeated boxing legend dropped some powerful advice for today’s generation, explaining why most people fail to make it. For Mayweather, it all comes down to tunnel vision, something he believes people can hone in on.

Mayweather didn’t sugarcoat his message, emphasizing the focus, dedication, and sacrifices it takes to achieve that level of success.

“You got 24 hours in a day. Eight hours you sleep right? And most people work a 9-5 so eight hours you’re working. So we at 16 hours, we got breakfast, lunch and dinner, what are we at 19? It takes you an hour to get ready, so we at 20 hours. Yall gotta get focused. I am where I am at because I am focused.”

Growing up in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Mayweather faced significant hardships, including poverty and family struggles. Despite these obstacles, he channeled his energy into boxing, a sport deeply rooted in his family.

His dedication paid off, leading to an undefeated professional record of 50-0 and earnings exceeding $1 billion. Beyond the ring, Mayweather has diversified his wealth through various investments, including a substantial property portfolio.

Mayweather continues to expand his business empire

A few months ago, the internet started rumors about Mayweather having spent all his money and was looking to do exhibition bouts and make some moolah again.

‘Money Mayweather’ is shutting down the “broke” rumors in classic Mayweather style—by dropping a massive $402 million on an affordable housing deal in Manhattan.

His latest investment includes over 1,000 affordable housing units spread across more than 60 buildings in upper Manhattan, making it one of the biggest real estate deals of the year in New York.

While whispers about money troubles have followed him since his blockbuster fight with Conor McGregor in 2017, this move speaks for itself.

Sure, his exhibition fights might fuel those rumors, but Mayweather’s real estate play shows he’s still winning outside the ring. Not only does the deal solidify his financial savvy, but it also helps provide affordable housing for those in need—a win for everyone involved.

“It’s a Rotational Injury”: Doctor Breaks Down Patrick Mahomes’ Mild Grade One Right High Ankle Sprain

It’s a great thing that the Chiefs are 13-1 because they might have to play a game or two without their star QB, Patrick Mahomes. The two-time MVP re-injured his ankle on Sunday against the Browns, aggravating the lingering issue that had bothered him for weeks.

Injury expert Dr Jesse Morse broke down his injury, revealing that what was earlier a medial-ankle sprain is now a mild right high ankle sprain.

According to Dr Morse, Mahomes never had surgery to correct the issue. He believes that the Chiefs won’t let him play this Saturday against the Texans. He pointed out that with this injury the two-time MVP will find it hard to move, severely hampering his mobility.

“This is a right-high ankle injury to the cisic ligament. It’s a rotational injury meaning he’s going to have trouble putting his foot down and pushing off. “

Patrick will also find it difficult to push off the defenders due to pain in the joint. He won’t be able to put his foot down or rotate the ankle. Per Dr. Morse, such injuries happen when someone plants their foot on the back of your heel.

Mahomes’ ankle got caught between two of Brown’s defenders late in the fourth quarter and he was replaced with Carson Wentz. He also twisted his knee on that play which would be concerning for the MCL. Andy Reid called it a sore ankle, refusing to raise any alarms.

With the games coming thick and fast, the injury expert feels the Chiefs should err on the side of caution and not aggravate the situation further.

The Chiefs should rest Mahomes for the Texan game

The Chiefs have a grueling schedule ahead. They played last Sunday on the road in Cleveland and will play again this coming Saturday at home against Houston. However, there is no rest for the weary as they play again on Christmas, i.e. Wednesday.

With the two-time MVP aggravating his ankle injury and games coming in fast, Dr. Morse believes that the Chiefs should make their star QB sit out for the game against the Texans on 21st December, allowing him to recuperate for the Steelers matchup.

Being a warrior and great player that he is, Mahomes will try to play both games but the fact is that he is not invincible. The Chiefs and Andy Reid know that.

With the team already qualified for the playoffs, they need to set their sights on a three-peat now. And they can’t do it without Mahomes. The Chiefs need him fit and ready to go when the playoffs begin. If keeping him healthy means losing a couple games, they should take that risk.

« He Was Sweating More Than Me »: Giannis Antetokounmpo Hilariously Roasts Kevin Garnett After Working Out with Him

Kevin Garnett’s intensity had been an iconic trait on the NBA court, and according to Giannis Antetokounmpo, this fire hasn’t faded even years after the legend’s retirement. The Greek superstar revealed the details of a workout the two shared.

KG was present at the Milwaukee Bucks practice at the T-Mobile Arena ahead of their Emirates NBA Cup Final game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Sitting in a chair beside Garnett, the Greek Freak hilariously revealed how the Boston Celtics legend was profusely sweating during their workout session together.

“I had a week of workouts with him, he was sweating more than me, I was the one working out,” Antetokounmpo disclosed.

However, Garnett didn’t seem to mind. “I want to say man, it was a pleasure working with you bro,” KG said. “Best experience of my life,” Giannis said in response.

The Big Ticket never represented Milwaukee during his playing days. However, his guidance to the Bucks shouldn’t come as a shock. Doc Rivers has been bringing former players that he coached to impart their wisdom to the team. During the training camp, Rivers even invited Rajon Rondo as a guest coach.

Learning from such accomplished players is undoubtedly valuable for the entire team. However, for Antetokounmpo specifically, the experience must’ve been beneficial.

Garnett and Antetokounmpo share similar “unicorn” qualities, possessing elite defensive skills to match their offensive dominance. Learning from one of the greatest to ever play his position could, therefore, help Giannis take his game to even greater heights.

Although both players enjoyed their workout, it’s surprising they chose to train together given Garnett’s past comments about Antetokounmpo.

Garnett argued that Antetokounmpo wasn’t a top 3 player in the East

This past offseason, Garnett ignited one of the hottest debates in the basketball community with his opinions on Giannis.

While previewing the 2024-2025 season in an episode of KG: Certified, Garnett boldly ranked Antetokounmpo as the fourth-best player in the Eastern Conference. “He’s probably like, what, the fourth-best in the East,” Garnett said.

The 2008 NBA champion faced immediate backlash for his remarks, as furious fans were quick to point out that the Bucks forward received the most 2024 MVP votes from the Eastern Conference.

Fortunately, no feud erupted between Garnett and Antetokounmpo over the comments.

However, the narrative seemed to motivate Antetokounmpo to prove his worth. he has been putting up impressive numbers, averaging 32.7 points, 11.5 rebounds, and 6.1 assists per game this season, while leading Milwaukee to the fifth-best record in the East and a spot in the NBA Cup Finals.

“I’m Not a Side Piece”: Travis Hunter’s Fiancée Leanna Lenee Says She « Left Him in DMs for 2 Months » Because He Had a Girlfriend

Leanna Lenee has had enough. At a time when she should be celebrating her fiance Travis Hunter’s Heisman win and enjoying her engagement, she’s had to deal with internet trolls and clear the air.

There’s been a constant spotlight on Lenee for the past few months now, and trolls have not had anything good to say. First, it was how she seemingly reacted to Hunter “talking to cheerleaders,” then it was her revealing that she initially didn’t respond to Travis because he wasn’t her “type.” The girl can’t catch a break.

In a lengthy TikTok post, Lenee clarified what she actually meant when she said that Hunter wasn’t her type and made a shocking revelation about Hunter:

“The real reason Travis sat in my DMs for two months is because he DM’d me when he had a girlfriend…I don’t do homewrecking, I’m not a side piece…I would never do that to another woman. So I ignored him until he was single.”

On the topic of Hunter not being her “type,” Lenee explained that her words were misconstrued to mean she didn’t like Hunter’s physical attributes:

“I didn’t mean attractiveness. I don’t have a physical type. Period. No two people I’ve previously dated have looked the same…I don’t care what people look like or what they can give me…It was because he was younger than me and he had cheated on his girlfriend.”

Lenee’s tell-all comes two days after the Heisman ceremony, where her every move was once again dissected under a microscope, at a time when the spotlight should’ve only been on Hunter.

As Hunter was announced as the winner, a viral clip showed Lenee seated while those around her—including Deion Sanders and Hunter’s mother—stood in applause. It wasn’t until Deion gently prompted her to rise that she finally stood to embrace her fiancé.

This moment sparked a flurry of criticism online, with many questioning her commitment and intentions in their relationship. It seems this was the last straw for Lenee, who was deeply troubled by the backlash she has been receiving for quite some while now.

She explained in her video that it was only a moment of confusion, and she was still sitting because she wanted the family to have their moment and did not want cameras focusing on her.

Lenee was so deeply troubled by the backlash she received from all this that, according to Hunter, she got drunk and cried herself to sleep. Lenee need not worry too much because as she said, “People are finding every single little thing and making it something it’s not. Bird-brained individuals are just accepting what they see online.”

Jayson Tatum’s Agent Refused to Let Him Be Drafted by Lakers, Says Magic Johnson

Growing up as a die-hard Kobe Bryant fan, it was Jayson Tatum’s dream to play for the Los Angeles Lakers. But the LA side proceeded to select Lonzo Ball over him in the 2017 NBA Draft. Therefore, Tatum has always had a grudge about the Purple and Gold’s decision to snub him and he recently went public about his disappointment. Soon after that, Magic Johnson explained the Lakers’ reasoning for not picking JT and how Tatum’s agent also had a huge say in the process.

The Lakers were a young team in 2017 filled with multiple forwards on the roster. It would’ve been difficult for Johnson, the President of Basketball Operations at the time, to provide Tatum adequate playing time with the likes of Brandon Ingram, Julius Randle, and Larry Nance Jr. on the team.

“We were top-heavy in forwards. I couldn’t take him… And so if I took another forward, we would never see this Tatum if he had ended up with the Lakers because he would have been sitting on that bench because we already had Julius (Randle) and Brandon Ingram starting, right?” Johnson said on the SiriusXM NBA Radio.

The LA side drafting Ball made much more sense at the time for the simple logic that they required a point guard. Johnson stated that Tatum’s agent didn’t want him on the Lakers as well because of that same exact reason.

“I wanted to address that and let him know – yes, we looked at him, but his agent also didn’t want us to work him out because he didn’t want him to end up with the Lakers because we are already top-heavy with forwards,” Johnson concluded.

However, Magic believes that things turned out in favor of Tatum eventually because he wouldn’t be the player he is today if he spent so much time as a benchwarmer for the Lakers in his first few seasons.

Being from California, there was a lot of excitement around the Lakers drafting Zo as well. But his two-year stint with the team was rather underwhelming. He started most of the games but averaged merely 10 points and 6.4 assists per game before getting traded in the 2019 off-season.

Drafting Tatum would’ve perhaps led to a better result than no playoff appearances for two straight seasons.

Tatum recollected being devasted after being passed on by the Lakers

During an appearance on the Club 520 podcast that was aired two weeks into the 2024-2025 season, JT admitted being “devastated” after being overlooked by LAL in the 2017 draft. He was even more bummed out because the team didn’t even watch him work out during the pre-draft process.

“At the time, for me, I grew up a Kobe fan. I always wanted to play for the Lakers. For (the Lakers) to have the No. 2 pick, and it wasn’t even a thought that I was going to get drafted, that was kind of devastating. I never worked out for the Lakers. They never came to watch me work out,” Tatum revealed.

Sure, Tatum might have been a better pick for the Lakers than Lonzo Ball. However, in the long run, he likely wouldn’t have gained the multiple Conference Finals experience, substantial playing time, or the ball-dominant role he now has with the Celtics.

In hindsight, not being drafted by the Lakers was probably a blessing in disguise for the youngster.

Everything About Carson Hocevar and Ziegler Automotive Group’s Partnership for the 2025 Season

2024 NASCAR Cup Series Rookie of the Year, Carson Hocevar will be competing in his second full-time season in the highest echelon of stock car racing come next year. Driving the #77 Sprie Motorsports entry, the young 21-year-old will be teaming up once again with Ziegler Automotive Group in 2025.

The privately owned automotive dealer group will be seen as the Michigan native’s primary sponsor during eight events throughout the season, backing Hocevar who has divided opinions in the fraternity just as he did back during his junior nationwide series career.

The first union of the Hocevar-Zeigler Automotive Group partnership will be seen during the season-opening Daytona 500. The 77th running of the famed event will see the #77 Chevrolet adorned in the organization’s colors in yellow and black. The family-owned business has been a constant sponsor in NASCAR since 2019 and aims to continue the same going into next year.

“This past year has been nothing short of incredible, with Carson earning the well-deserved Rookie of the Year award. His performance on the track has exceeded all expectations, and if this past year is any indication of what’s to come, we’re in for an exciting ride,” said Aaron J. Zeigler, president and CEO of the automotive group.

“Carson’s commitment to excellence, both on and off the track, has made a tremendous impact, and we are honored to continue to support our hometown hero,” he added.

Aiming to build on his career-best Cup Series finish of P3 next season, Hocevar looked forward to taking Ziegler into Victory Lane and said, “I’m looking forward to continuing to build our partnership on and off the track and can’t wait to take the Zeigler Chevrolet to Victory Lane.”

Despite Hocevar’s somewhat iffy approach to on-track racing and etiquette towards his fellow drivers, the Michigan native has proven his abilities behind the wheel when his approach to racing and mindset is tempered correctly.

I never was really worried about the criticism. The only time I would ever be worried is if my owner or my crew chief or my team were the ones saying it. As long as they have my back, there are always more races to change that narrative,” said Hocevar when asked about the criticism he has received in the sport so far.

Along with the 2025 Daytona 500, Ziegler will also be seen adorned on the #77 Chevy for the upcoming races in Homestead, Darlington, Nashville, Chicago, Indianapolis, and Gateway along with Hocevar and his sponsor’s home race in Michigan. It now remains to be seen if this boost in confidence for the 21-year-old and his team can carry them to even better results next year.

“Patrick Mahomes is Walking Around With Steph Curry’s Old Ankles”: Ryan Clark Gets Real About Chiefs QB’s Injury Scenario

For the most part, the Kansas City Chiefs’ quest for a third consecutive Super Bowl has gone swimmingly. Things haven’t always been pretty, but an ugly win is always better than a defeat. There’s just one loss that would severely damage their chances of making NFL history, and it has nothing to do with points. It’s Patrick Mahomes being unable to suit up in the playoffs.

The injury Mahomes suffered against the Cleveland Browns isn’t season-ending. There’s an outside chance he ends up facing the Houston Texans this Saturday. But ESPN analyst Ryan Clark believes it’d be in the Chiefs’ best interest to sit Mahomes. He made a cross-sport reference when explaining his position on Monday’s episode of NFL Live.

“Patrick Mahomes is walking around with Steph Curry’s old ankles, so you need to be smart about the way you protect him going down the stretch. We know the postseason is ahead, [and] obviously the Buffalo Bills are nipping at [the Chiefs’] heels… it’s more important to me to have a healthy Patrick Mahomes than it is to force our way into home-field advantage.”

Curry is a generational NBA talent. The only thing that has slowed him down through his career is an inordinate amount of ankle injuries. The four-time champion’s most healthy stretch coincided with the prime portion of the Golden State Warriors’ dynasty.

Without him – like they are this year for the moment – the Warriors have struggled to win games.

Mahomes has also hurt his ankle repeatedly over the course of his Kansas City tenure. He did so twice in the 2023-24 postseason and appeared versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers earlier this year before officially doing so in Week 15.

If he were subjected to the bench for the playoffs, the Chiefs would probably not be able to accomplish their three-peat.

Marcus Spears agrees with Ryan Clark’s take on Patrick Mahomes

Those opposing Clark will point to Kansas City’s potential vulnerability for the AFC’s No. 1 seed as a reason Mahomes can’t afford to rest. The Houston Texans (9-5), Pittsburgh Steelers (10-4), and Denver Broncos (9-5) are all formidable foes.

Two losses would open the door for the Buffalo Bills (11-3) to take the conference’s top spot and set up an AFC Championship on the road against MVP-favorite Josh Allen.

People are right to question if the Chiefs could defeat the Bills on the road this year. However, they likely could bank on their established history as a reason for confidence in any scenario. This wouldn’t be the case if Mahomes were inactive, which is why Marcus Spears backed Clark’s stance.

“Sit him down… home-field advantage don’t mean nothing if he ain’t healthy… Patrick Mahomes is going to be the reason that Kansas City wins the Super Bowl if it happens. It ain’t nothing else… you might want these home games, [but] if he can’t go or is going to be hampered, sit him down until the playoffs.”

The regular season really doesn’t mean much to Kansas City. Everything they’re playing for comes from January onward. Because of this, ensuring Mahomes is at maximum health should be their top priority.

Having Carson Wentz play when there are hardly any stakes makes more sense than hoping he succeeds when a championship is on the line.

Will IndyCar’s Most Popular Driver Pato O’Ward Race in the NASCAR Cup Series?

The driver of the #5 Chevrolet fielded by Arrow McLaren SP in the NTT IndyCar Series, Pato O’Ward is one driver who is known not only in the open-wheeled racing circuit but all across global motorsports. The Mexican driver’s exploits in America’s premier open-wheel racing series have earned the 25-year-old a huge fanbase.

Somewhat akin to NASCAR Cup Series champion Kyle Larson in terms of his raw talent and ability behind the wheel, O’Ward is considered a generational talent by many. The same was evident as he came close to winning the famed 2024 Indy 500, only to finish second to fellow driver Joseph Newgarden.

With NASCAR having announced their entry into Mexico for the upcoming season, O’Ward seems to be setting his sights on the event in 2026, skipping next year due to scheduling issues with his full-time gig in IndyCar.

“I would love to, I’m really bummed. I wish we could have done it as soon as the first time, which is next year, but it’s when we go to Gateway, and obviously my priorities lie in IndyCar, but I would love to do the next one. I don’t really have interest doing another race. I want to do that one, and I think it’d be cool,” said the Mexican national.

With IndyCar unable to offer O’Ward a home race in Mexico for the time being, a crossover akin to Larson’s Indy 500 attempt could be on the cards in the future with Chevrolet, Arrow McLaren SP, and Hendrick Motorsports, just as the three organizations collaborated when the #5 Camaro driver took to racing on ‘The Brickyard.’

Pato’s addition to the field would make him the second Mexican national to participate in the upcoming event, alongside fellow countryman and Cup Series race winner Daniel Suarez.

‘It’s a dream of mine to race in Mexico’

Adding to his aspirations of competing in front of a home crowd, O’Ward seemed as passionate as ever about racing on Mexican soil, referencing the devotion the motorsports fanbase of the country exudes.

“It’s some of the best fans in the world. They’re so passionate. You see how successful the Formula 1 Grand Prix is there and it’s definitely a dream of mine to race in front of Mexican fans there,” said the 25-year-old.

Just as Kyle Larson managed to divulge two different motorsports fanbases with his Indy 500 attempt, Pato O’Ward’s interest in NASCAR could work in favor of the sport.

After all, the Monterrey, Mexico native remains the most popular driver in his full-time series, also topping the charts for the most merchandise sales in 2024 over big names such as Joeseph Newgarden and Alexander Rossi.

Gilbert Burns Exposes Chael Sonnen’s Phone Number as Revenge Move Over ‘Officially Retired’ Dig

Gilbert Burns has fired back at Chael Sonnen in a way no one saw coming. After Sonnen declared on his Good Guy/Bad Guy Show with Daniel Cormier that Burns was “officially retired from the sport,” the Brazilian fighter decided to get even by exposing Sonnen’s phone number on Twitter.

Sonnen’s remark came during a discussion about potential opponents for Joaquin Buckley following UFC Tampa. While weighing in on Buckley’s future, Sonnen claimed that Burns was “no longer in the pool of fighters” and had “officially retired”.

He went on to suggest that Burns’ recent performances justified the statement, as the Brazilian is currently on a tough three-fight losing streak. Once a top contender in the welterweight division, Burns has seen his stock fall after losses to Belal Muhammad, Khamzat Chimaev, and Stephen Thompson.

While some fighters might shrug off Sonnen’s trash talk, Burns decided to turn the tables dramatically. By leaking Sonnen’s phone number, he’s made it clear that he’s not backing down, even if his recent performances have left him out of the title conversation.

“Still with this number? +1 (503) 754-0207. Calling you to see what’s up!”

Burns’ UFC career has been a rollercoaster. After earning a title shot against Kamaru Usman in 2021, he’s faced a challenging stretch in the octagon. Despite his undeniable talent and grit, the losses have taken a toll on his standing in the welterweight rankings, raising questions about whether his time as a top contender is behind him.

That said, Chael Sonnen can’t really be one to talk about bad performances and retirements because his fighter got absolutely dominated in the octagon when he was in his corner just a couple of days ago

Sonnen consoles Colby Covington

Sonnen found himself in a tough spot at UFC Tampa as he cornered Covington against Joaquin Buckley. Covington, stepping into a challenging matchup, was thoroughly dominated by one of the division’s best. Sonnen, visibly concerned as Buckley’s onslaught escalated, even considered throwing in the towel. However, before he could make that call, the doctor stepped in to stop the fight.

After the fight, Sonnen attempted to console Covington with an oddly optimistic take on his performance,

“My god, that was a fight, not bad at all. Your kicks were on point… everything was going great, the tide was turning. I do not accept that, that doesn’t count.”

The irony? The tide was absolutely not turning. If anything, Buckley grew more ruthless with each passing round, leaving Sonnen’s words sounding more like delusion than encouragement.

This moment paints Sonnen in a hypocritical light. He’s essentially feeding Covington a comforting narrative that doesn’t align with what actually transpired in the cage. While Burns is called out for slipping down the rankings, Covington is shielded from facing the truth of his defeat or rather what has been a series of poor performances, highlighting a stark double standard in Sonnen’s approach.

$500,000 Is the Only Thing JR Smith Likes About the NBA Cup, Hates the Courts

The NBA Cup appears to be a success among players, with teams clearly giving a little extra push during these special matchups to win the prize money on the line. JR Smith was hesitant to accept the concept of the new In-Season Tournament, however, underwhelmed by the entire spectacle. But he changed his tune once he learned of the hefty $500,000 first-place handout for every member of the team.

“Yeah, if I’m playing the games anyway, I wouldn’t mind ’cause who wouldn’t want the extra 500 racks?” Smith reconsidered his stance on the tournament on FanDuel TV’s Run it Back. The 39-year-old was intrigued by the idea of competing for a mid-season payday.

But Smith was quick to reject the most unique aspect of the NBA Cup – the dazzling court re-designs.

The two-time champion explained how the flashy courts were the reason he thought the NBA Cup was a separate entity from the league’s regular season. “It just seems different with the courts. The way they try to present it… I hate the courts. The courts is trippy,” Smith said.

He underlined his dislike of the league’s decision to opt for the colorful and gaudy designs. “I hang out a lot at night and to come in the next day and see a court like that, bro, I’d be out of there,” Smith added.

The 2013 Sixth Man of the Year isn’t the first to air out his frustrations regarding the NBA’s unique court patterns for the in-season competition. Spectators and fans alike have been known to have mixed feelings about the colossal shift from the league’s usual designs.

But Smith does stick out as one of the only players to criticize the tournament as a whole. Most players have taken it as extra motivation during a grueling 82-game schedule, which was undoubtedly one of the league’s foremost priorities when creating the NBA Cup.

Most NBA players have been motivated by the NBA Cup

Even superstar talents, who are making upwards of $25 million a year nowadays, have shown an extra competitive edge throughout the In-Season Tournament. It serves for a most players a fun distraction from the mundane season schedule.

Giannis Antetokounmpo passionately spoke about the Milwaukee Bucks’ opportunity to take care of business after the team advanced to the semi-finals.

“I’m very happy we get to go to Vegas. We have unfinished business. We’re going to have fun, we’re going to play good basketball, we’re going to compete,” Antetokounmpo said excitedly on Wednesday. Now, after defeating the Atlanta Hawks 110-102 on Saturday, Giannis and the Bucks will have a chance to achieve their goal against the Oklahoma City Thunder in the NBA Cup Finals.

However, chances are that JR Smith won’t be watching the interesting matchup.
